Welcome to the Wildcat’s
Home Page - Rockford, Illinois'Youth Cross Country Team

The Wildcats is a Youth Cross-Country Team that started running in 1997. The program is designed to let kids have fun while learning about running. The ages of our runners range from 5 - 18. The program is open to all who might be interested.  We compete in a series of cross-country meets during the fall beginning in early October. The Wildcats host a meet on October 25, 2008, which is open to all youth runners.

The Wildcats are affiliated with the Rockford Road Runners which is a Road Runners Club of America organization, USA Track and Field and AAU.

We often get inquires about Track & Field, while we do track workouts during the summer as we prepare for the State Street Mile race we are not a track and field team.  If you are looking specifically for a track and field program we suggest that you look at Rockford’s F.I.R.E. Track & Field Team.  This program is run by the Rockford Park District and is a revamped and expanded program beginning in 2008 it replaces their former program.

If you would like to give running a try you are welcome to join us

at any time as there is no cost to join the Rockford Wildcats.

Once your F.I.R.E track season is over

come run Cross Country with the Rockford Wildcats.
